because its not every day complete strangers help you and your face

a million fuck you's for yesterday. i have purchased a few things as per your advice. 1 bar of grandpa's saggy balls...i mean pine tar soap- CHECK. 1 tub of tea tree antiseptic cream- CHECK.
1 jug of aloe vera gel- CHECK. i am totes getting susannah's wonderbar bc it sounds like it will give my face super powers, even though it is a 40 dollar bar of soap. i don't caresies. i will think of it as poor man's la mer and use it all over my body a la jennifer lopez. i think we should all get some of that and then talk about how our faces are now awesome. i also got some oil of oregano for dropping under my tongue and let me just say that shit tastes like dirty ass with a side of spicy doo doo.
i passed on the benadryl simply bc i have had this rash for 2 weeks or more...it doesn't itch too bad or keep me up at night. but rest assured that i will have some on hand for next time so i can nip it in the bud early. for now i am going to leave it alone and nurture it with moisture and love until i get to an allergist next week.

ok. the audition went fabulously. i was perfectly pleased with my lack of nerves, which so often fucks me up, and my ability to be funny without being a caricature of the character. now i wait. if the director wants to see me again i go back and audition again for THEM. this time it was all on camera, taped for their viewing pleasure.

really, many thanks for your support and good vibes and advice.
chocolate bunnies and magical unicorns for you all.

fuck you too for making me laugh my ass of on a regular basis!!

sounds like you kicked some ass at your audition and sending you lots of good mojo for round 2

regarding the allergy, this may be tricky ... I've been suffering from allergies my whole life been tested many, many times and things I know I'm allergic to don't always pop. I only figured out my wheat allergy by accident, by myself, last year. So after 2 decades of taking large doses of allergy medication I no longer take any. But no more french bread for me. Just be aware that scratch tests are not the most reliable and traditional medicine is pretty behind on this front.

But you're smart (and you've got lots of support) so you'll figure it out - and I'll bet you will feel better in other ways too when you do!

i CANNOT WAIT to see you on the big screen!!

You will definently get the part - your sense of humor is priceless! Can't wait to hear all of your Owen Wilson stories - and maybe you can give his brother Luke some sage advice so he will start doing some good movies again - hello Richie Tenenbaum! Hope the rash clears up - I would love to hear if the super soap works and the oil of oregano - I have heard of that as a remedy for lots of things. Keep us posted with the results!

I use the wonderbar and it's...wonderful. My only thought for you is that you may freak out because of the clay ingredient and it may be drying--but keep using it. I'm lucky to have the oily skin that loves it (my dermatologist once said "when you're 80,
people are going to think you're 60 years old." great.)

I put the oil of oregano in a glass of warm water and chug it down, pretending I am italian.

I have no clue WTF you have, but I'm sending you a heap-shit of sympathy. I've been MIA for a week & couldn't believe you are still suffering from that crud. I'm so glad your audition went fabulously, but really, not surprised. I'll be waiting for that phone call too. Bravo to you Jenny xx

Glad you didn't drop the ball on the audition.

Maybe you should consider a canary? You know, in case it really is black lung.

Yay! So much of life is all about attitude and you have a great one. That and your sense of humor will get you far Jenny from the Block. Yes it will!

Okay, so you asked how the Wonderbar worked for the likes of me.

A few months ago I started having horribly dry skin mixed with small blemishes on the sides of my mouth & nose. It was awesome. I saw a derm who said it was maybe eczema or impetigo (!) but he really wasn't sure. He prescribed some stinky ass lotion which I used and it didn't work. I spent too much money and tried everything...

Fast forward someone recommending the wonderbar to me; at that point $40 seemed a bargain. I'm telling you--I spent more on less.

You lather it up on your face--and here's the key--you leave your face all lathered for 3 to 5 minutes and then rinse off. In about two weeks the mystery rash/possible bubonic plague was gone. Totally and completely gone.

I have always had super oily skin and this has helped immensely. I have gone from using about 8 powdered papers a day to about 3. The website says it moisturizes dry skin and evens out oily skin, basically balancing you out.

The small $40 bar lasts about 10 weeks for me. Totally worth it in my opinion.

I have not been paid anything by the people at Wonderbar, though you'd think I'd made some Faustian deal with how well it worked. Just $40, not my soul, and I recommend it to anyone who has funked up skin. And really--who doesn't?

xoxo,
S

good to hear about the allergist! and with the oil of O, totally put it in some water or you will burn the hell out of your mouth - I always make sure to have a bite of something tasty right after, like a banana or a brownie, or whatever

Forgot to say - aloe vera did help me with my little rash... but then again, mine went away in a couple of days! Hope yours gets better really soon.
So glad the audition went well! Keeping my fingers crossed for a callback for you!!

Oh, and in the words of Eddie Murphy, "Yes, yes! And fuck you too!"

If you just suddenly got this rash, its probably from stress, detergent, something on your cat's fur, shampoo change, etc. My skin-miracle is an egg-white facial. You just smear the white of an egg all over, let it dry on there (overnight if you want), and then wet and rub off with a washcloth. Exfoliates, sterilizes, etc etc. works.

I am glad it went well, sorry about the rash, that sucks.

i knew you would rock the audition! congratulations! i'm sure the directors will fall in love with your sense of humor the same way the blogging world has. after nailing your next audition and promptly moving to hollywood, please report back on whether owen wilson's nose is actually as strange-looking in real life. because even despite it i find him quite handsome.

so i just wanted to say that I just read a post on design sponge where someone said "shit" in the comments and grace wrote in to say there was no cursing on this blog. then i hopped over here to read your fabulous site, where I'm pretty sure I can say whatever I want. Thanks for being You and continuing to crack me up.
Good luck with future auditions!
