purple monster

here in georgia (all over really) you can take a walk anywhere in early spring and say.."what is that heavenly smell and where is it coming from?!?!" it is usually this beautiful stuff also known as wisteria. it grows wild all over here. oddly enough i have heard it's really hard to grow yourself. driving thru the city you can see it covering the tree tops like some kind of seussian beast. i love it. it is beautiful!! look how this one is growing out of the concrete!!

ok bloggers i am officially 'on the map' as it were. at least as far as i am concerned. the beautiful, lovely, talented, saucy valorie hart of the super cool blog v i s u a l v a m p has given me a shout out on her blog, in her shop and on top OF A FUCKING MOUNTAIN!!!!!..ok so maybe not on the mountain...but it feels that way to me! so thanks ms. hart...it means a lot to me.

monday color combo

turquoise and yellow has been on the radar for a while now..so nothing new there but it's so damn cheery and today here in atlanta it is so damn cold and rainy!
anyway..i love how it seems to work well in nature too...sort of a sun and sea thing...or flower and sky. ...and pink, purple, white and green.

this is my little girl. fiona. she is going to the beach with her grands' today...'til monday. she is super excited here in her new hello kitty b-suit.

this is me 5 minutes after she left. no i did not plan to capture me bawling for the blog. but as soon as it started happening i thought (as a good blogger should) "shit, capture this for my readers". this is a first for us all.

the perfect bedroom and a room with a view

you may remember last week a post i did about my style in a picture..it was started by alek at this cool blog from the right bank to the left coast. anyway...my choice was this room. well i found the bedroom version of my style in a picture. below. look. the simple bed, huge bench, bleached floors, white walls...mmmm...i love it. i also love the play with scale. doesn't it look so serene and peaceful?this next picture is all about that view. i mean you just know that that apartment is a kajillion dollars because of that view and also that the apartment itself is probably teeny tiny. i want to have coffee there tomorrow and a chocolate croissant. image from the paris apartment

officially obsessed

if you know me then you know that it's not hard for me to get obsessed with a book/movie series. even better when the books become movies. harry potter? check. lord of the rings? check. my inner nerd comes out with a vengeance. i can quote all 3 lord of the rings movies beginning to end. and while i LOVE the harry potter movies the books are where its at for me.

so i was up reading for 3 hours last night!! what? twilight of course. i am hooked. this book is so good, GOOD i tell you!!! the buildup of sexy tension is palpable, high school or not. i couldn't put it down, i had to force myself. then as i lay in bed i just imagined all the mysterious, foggy, rainy forest surrounding these characters and how and when they would kiss?!!

so i had to flick through flickr to find some washington area rainforest images...oh and an image of edward and bella...behold..vampire hotness...
