i love the tuxes with rubber boots and the whole fancy/humble feel to this. too hot in georgia for tuxes though. and i don't think any of our friends would be caught dead in tuxes with rubber boots. although in our backyard they might need them.

Fairy lights and candles - perfect party mix. That is what I do outside too - lots and lots of them. I like the idea of the different cloths, xv.
My fave: Mini-pineapples as bottle stoppers! Have GOT to remember that one!
Sawhorses and plywood tops for the tables--easy to store and set up. Do you need a good cake?
When I do these I also like to make sure I provide bug repellent spray and those little individual handi-wipe packets like you get a BBQ restaurants. You don't have to display them but make sure guests know where to find them.
Those old school metal garbage cans filled with ice make for a great place to store beer, soda and wine bottles. I've used large ceramic flower pots as serving bowls. For the unglazed ones make sure you get a plastic liner.
I also like going to goodwill and buying a hodge podge of old plates, glasses and silverware and pitchers. It's casual but adds some interest.
Listen, I've been popping by your blog for a little while now and I'm diggin what you're doing so much that I've added you to my blogroll. SO stop on by and take a gander.
