House Beautiful's Kitchen of the year is officially tied to the Barefoot Contessa (a contributor to the magazine) who is listed on all the publicity. I think this was an attempt by HB to let as many readers as possible see Ina's Kitchen firsthand because of its popularity as well as to understand how to personally replicate the items in their own homes. Think how cool it would have been to be able to actually tour a replica of the Something's got to give kitchen.
