I L-O-V-E your blog---it's my home page!!!! However, today's entry hit a nerve. I hate purple; I can't explain why, I can't stand any shade of it in any material, in any context, etc...(I have the same reaction to yellow...except butter) Is there any color that provokes that reaction in you? Should I consult a doctor? (Thank you, by the way)
=)

"is there any color that provokes that reaction in you?"
yes. butter.
no..just kidding! of course!! one color in general does not make me ill, but certain colors (even purple) if used in a horrifying muddled shade, or just used incorrectly can make me ill, furious, frustrated and vomitous.
and that is why i wonder if you just have only seen purple used "incorrectly" or in those cheap ass paint colors with no thought to light and surface.
when i started doing my monday color combos i started seeing examples of colors i at one time hated looking gorgeous with the right thought to it's use.
when you look at a purple japanese iris or lavender wisteria in the spring, do they hit a nerve? or do you see how lovely they are? if the andwer is yes, then i think you might have some deep rooted issue that might take some therapy to resolve;)
if the answer is no, then i think i am right.
thank you for making me your homepage!! hi five!!

I'm a purple convert. I used to hate it, but I think purple in moderation can be so lovely. I love that rug in the first photo. Yummers.

I want to smuggle that top rug into my house and make it my slave.

This has always been my favorite color, and I can't wait to decorate my bedroom in it!
