monday color combo on tuesday

as halloween approacheth i thought a black and orange combo would be too obvious. and probably hard to find tasteful black and orange decor that didn't look like the inside of a witch's ass. but black and purple while at times a little too victorian goth for my taste can be easier to achieve when you use soft lavenders and vibrant plums against the lacqueriest of black....

This has got to be one of my all time favorite color combos yet. Aubergine gets me just a wee bit emotional.

Classy. I too think the orange and black decor looks chintzy. But purples and black? Probably not something I would have thought of myself but it actually looks really great. Bravo my friend!

A very tasteful turn on the general hideousness of Halloween decor, Jenny! Very innovative. Thanks so much for displaying my poster. You're the best! xo

OK I've got to hand it to you...you made purple and black look good. Better than good, great!

I'v never been one for purple interiors, but you may have just coaxed me over to the dark side. Purple-y black tulips and anemones are two of my favorite flora and that luscious shade translates beautifully to a wall color. So seductive! Great round-up of purple-hued beauties!

Is that a sconce in the second room? It's so beautiful! I love your color combo posts! The black and purple tulips are looooovely! And I totally dig that glam room from Chinese Elle Decor!
