sunday at my house

nicolas b.b. lounges...

fiona eats yogurt (coconut milk yogurt- like the ice cream!!)...
and watches the care bears....(that's some elephant care bear cousin thing)...

my house is kinda messy... that's a big ass pumpkin scooper for this week's pumpkin carving bonanza, my vitamins and what not, martha, and various cooking magazines, my blackberry and notebook.

my husband looks all at once like a pedophile and a 70's porn star. he thinks it's funny to have a gay cowboy mustache on his face. a small part of me does too....very small...

fiona's baby takes a dump on my sheepskin...

the buffet gets a couple coats of primer....

a bird she is a roastin' ...
my oven is filthy..martha says to clean it in november after thanksgiving...

what about you? what's it like in your house on a sunday?

My house is Halloweenish and arty. The doors/windows open, the sun is bright, day warm.
No cute child, animal, husband or food cooking.
There is art in various stages of completion, dreams, words, ideas, thoughts, fancy, magic and things I like.
Oh yes and lots of small post-its with ideas, good thoughts, prices of flights for December travel, and quotes I need to feel and share and...

Typically, there's a lot of lounging watching Sunday Morning and drinking coffee when we should be going to church...
Today, we were off and at 'em early - projecting - although, sadly, I have little to show for the work...

Excited about the buffet getting primed!!

Ohhh boy.... Day off for the housekeeper, so I pretty much let the house go to shit.... Stuff stays where we leave it and I do projects when the kid sleeps.(see tomorrows blog post) Hubby watches football. Today we took baby out for lunch and dinner so there was no clean up = awesome!

Btw, did you read the times article in the style section about the dangers of posting pics of your kid online? Experts say, risks of anything bad happening are slim, but that people might use photos of your kid without permission and many people find that to be alarming.... I do post the occasional picture of my kid, and my nephew is a photographer with a website so her pic could be all over the internet... whats a mom to do?

I fed a baby bird all day. I felt like a mother all over again!

Your house looks like a masterpiece compared to mine - a tornado landed in the kitchen and couldn't find its way out, so it continued throughout the rest of the house leaving a trail of disaster behind. The tornado is named Gaia!

I loved this peek into your life. Looks like a perfectly wonderful Sunday to me. We started off at Waffle House...being that I'm all into organic, seasonal, local, nutritional eating...then went pumpkin patching...followed by a trip to publix (where I realized I paid tooooo much for above pumpkins)...went home and made devilishly rich and delicious mac and cheese and giant cauldron of chili...took these to little sister's house and had dinner with the family, all the while smooching on my precious 8 month old nephews. I'd say it was a pretty good day. :0)

I slept in, ate breakfast, went back to bed, then watched movies while I ignored the mess in my house, then dinner (technically breakfast was at lunchtime), then bed again, it was awesome.

you call that kinda messy? my house right now is borderline "hoarders" material.

p.s. i want your cat.

Right now my house is clean, clean, clean. I spent most of yesterday putting everything away. So tonight I can sit back and enjoy a clean house.

That buffet is amazing so far- I LOVE the shape of it. I need one of those too. Dont worry I dont need EVERYTHING you have, just some things.

oh, and P.S. so excited that you are making progress on your buffet, can't wait to see the finished product! Awesomeness abounds!
