dreaming of an AIR-MEZ blanket..

no...really...i had a dream last night that i had a hermes blanket on my bed. this was most likely due to the fact that yesterday i saw kelly wearstler's pretty hermes blanket in the dec. issue of vogue living....i assume she has one in every room of the house. all of her houses. this was one of those early morning dreams where you wake up, realize it's morning and are pissed that you can't go back and dream some more of robert patt...i mean the hermes blanket.

in my search for images of hermes blankets this morning i didn't come across very many...most likely due to the fact that they are well over a thousand dollars a pop so only the ridiculously rich or stupid have them. you have probably seen most of these. in case you were wondering my blanket was orange and white. but this one is the one i would buy if i were ridiculously rich and/or stupid:

see....kelly wearstler's son has one:

she probably has one too:

are u sure those are lack tables? they look awfully thick to be lack. i have 2 lack as well and mine don't seem so thick. could just be a weird angle on the image.

Let's face it, it's not quite as classy as a Snuggie but it'll do in a pinch.

Sketch42, that is exactly what i love about it! Personally, i love mixing high brow items with found objects...tres chic;)

Jenny, I have a client who purchased an Hermes blanket (do you use a or an if the H is silent????) but she is confident and sophisticated enough to know better than to purchase one with the label plastered all over it! Here is a link to a photo of hers, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Doxa-Home/60194559666?v=photos&ref=ts#/photo.php?pid=2226963&id=60194559666.

And I have a feeling you will be ridiculously rich rather than ever being stupid, you are far too clever for that;)

By the way, how was your wonderful birthday feast....I am sooo envious.

Happy holidays!
Jaime

i'm of two minds on this one...they are soooo expensive (holy cow!) but i'm sure i'd squeal like a little girl if i got one as a gift or won it ('cause those would be the only plausible scenarios) are they soft? would the hermes people flip if i went into the store and felt one up?

SURI!
She not only has one, she cut holes in one for halloween to be a ghost.

I'd much rather have a Hudson's Bay Point blanket,
but what do I know?

I'm sure that subliminally Hermes is the reason orange is my favorite color. Townhouselady: you crack me up.

Wow, my mom has some pretty great images stored away :)

I love the H blanket and when I'm uber famous and cant be bothered to blog anymore I will buy one for each room in my house just like Kelly.

I think it might be the lack because of that little line that shows how the legs were screwed on. Im not sure though. I had a pink one in my daughters room and now a book fell on it and it has a huge dent!!

And they dont sell the pink anymore!

Happy New Year to you and the family Jenny!

i'd get them in every color too if my name began with H and i didn't have the most awesomely fucktarded bostons who would shred them and probably poop on them...

I love the phonetic.
Friends from the barn used to sarcastically refer to Hermes blankets as HER-MEES blankets and in my mind that is how I say it now and I can't stop thinking they should be under a saddle!
