Ouch. You might as well go to a cool vintage shop/junk yard and buy one for that amount---or less. I have to hand it to them for the cool concept though... It looks quite handsome.
I think that it is a very clever and whimsical idea. For years I painted floorcloths that were whimsical and fun... I never got around to using the concept on a fireplace. Great idea.
conceptually i think it's cheeky...pragmatically, i still have a problem with putting slip covers on casegoods. how do you dust? take it outside for a good shake? drag it to the laundromat because it is probably made of so much fabric it won't fit in a normal washing machine
I had a quick peek at this before I went to work this morning and I had to come back and comment. Not that I have anything original to say. My reaction was essentially, how cool, how weird, how stupid to pay that price. And like someone said, fabric on a fireplace? I would assume it is an unused fireplace.
As my husband would say....he could -whittle- you that slipcover for five bucks. Whatever it looks cool but costs too much. I reminds me of Wes Anderson movies criterion collection covers.
thanks for coming over. you make me laugh every day, and i really need that right now. i wanted to add: i wonder if The Fragrant Muse could help you; she writes about essential oils and may have a solution. don't scratch that shit!!! maybe the best solution after your audition would be to leave it alone to run its course! fuck rashes and cat piss! some doucher cat kept peeing all over the porch at one of my rental houses. we got some kind of spray from the hardware store and it stopped stinking...

I liked your wrapping paper one better. perhaps you should post it on Etsy for $450.

Goes to show people will buy anything. God bless America.
I think you said it all.
Fabric on a fireplace? Isn't that kind of a fire hazard? I guess some people just like livin' on the edge.

an amazing idea with a retarded price tag!
Are you f-ing kidding me? 500 dollars. Does it come with a blow job?
No, no, no. Don't like it. No.
saturday afternoon art project? Priceless.
I really need to learn to sew better. That way, I could make this silly little things and sell 'em for $250! Ha ha!!
Really, though, kind of cute idea, but totally ridiculous price.
Sorry I've been gone a while - just super super overwhelmed at work.
