what the fiznuck?

this is irksome. and wrong.

he looks like a peen:

or voldy:
srsly though...he is a musical genius and she is a musical retard.

onto more important things. we are all in a tizzy about what to do with the secretary/make-shift bar. i think most of us agree that a natural looking wood finish with a shiny pretty color inside and some dangle-y knobs may be the way to go...well...this is the palette inspiration:
and that is a plummy purple inside all lacquered and fine. and then the soft, light limed looking wood finish outside against the gray walls.
what do you think? be honest. but know that i love it and i have pms so i might cry a little if someone tells me it's ugly.

I think it will be sexy and cool, but then you have to move the lamp.

And dont make the outside too gray. It has to be woody.

Oh and I like them together. Its funny. It shows musical geniuses also think with their penises.

i love that idea; all smoky and smooth.

Okay....screw the coral. The plum would be pure perfection!

And about the odd couple. I can't even look at the pics without visualizing the sex. Ick.

although i'm really a purple person...i like where you're going with this...will the lighting be sparkly?

plumy purple would be gorgeous!

Sketch42, why would she need to move the lamp? Purple/plum and orange look lovely together and compliment each other nicely. I think it would work.

no, no, don't cry Jenny! I love that color combo! And I think the grey lime thang will look especially good in your room that already has a grey palette! Although, taking a look at that corner, I'd love to see a tangerine for the pop of color--would look so awesome with that lamp!

After reading your comment over at Decorno, I felt compelled to stop by..and I am not disappointed! This blog world thing keeps sucking me further in...where/when will it end! (mean that in a good way.)

sparkly is always the way to go. can't wait to see the results!

I always like the idea of having a bar set up in my home, but if I see the drinks, I drink the drinks.

yup, yummy plummy.

Love the color combo. Hey the musical combo.

As for the color combo, I'd get some funky bright green or turquoise pieces to put on the bar. Maybe even orange? To make it kind of pop.

I have a bar in my home in the entry and it's my favorite!

I dunno.... I feel like she is going moody with the plum and gray combo.... The orange could work, but maybe not.

i don't know the first thing about liming so i'm speaking from a palette perspective only. love the idea of grey against grey and the plum purple interior will be divine as long as it's a super high gloss finish. otherwise, it could look dreary. yeah, i can picture the lacquered plum with a bombay sapphire azure bottle and cobalt blue skyy vodka bottle. are there any liquors that come in red bottles? an array of colorful bottles would be fab. can't wait to see pix of the finished piece with the bottle display.

um, can we talk about this corgan/simptard pairing???

1. you're so late w/ this ;)
2. even emo dudes want to f the hot chick in high school
3. emo dudes love tittys too

so if you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Outcast/rocke/emo loser Billy Corgan had to wait his entire life to bag the quintessential girl next door.

...now, how much longer do you give it until he's sick of her watching the Kardashians...

My opinion is that the grey should def be darker than the wall somehow and a plum color inside would rock it. I like the addition of the Bombay Sapphire color to make it sing with delight.

As far as the couple goes that your referring to, when I think of them together I feel the same way about it as I feel when I think about my parents having sex.

BETTER IDEA: Silver leaf with plum inside.

I love those colors together and I'm not just saying that to be nice and comfort you during PMS. If I hated them I would have no problem telling you, isnt that what friends are for? But for real, I really do love the colors, I think its going to look HOT.

I think Jessica is just going through a phase right now. We all have. But hopefully she gets out of it soon!! Those two do NOT make the cuttest couple.

holy crap! I read your post asking what color to put inside before reading this one, and then I see you're headed in the same direction I suggested. My self-confidence in decorating has leveled up x5! :)

I like visualbenz suggestion ~ silver leaf and plum. Sounds easier than the liming.

Damn. I I thought about what color to use for the desk interior and finally had this inspired idea that some shade of purple would be very cool. I just came back to your blog to tell you, but, crap, you are waaaay ahead of me.

Hahaha, now I'm going to think about a penis every time I see Billy Corgan... Lol!! I agree that they're an odd couple...

Love your plans though!! Plums is the accent color in our living room, and I want more of it!!
