a few things before you flit away for the weekend..

it is supposed to snow here in atlanta today...3 inches. i know!! that's r'tard compared to what the rest of the country has been dealing with. but i hail from the midwest so i grew up playing in 4-5 foot drifts of snow and building ice caves and shit. so when we get a little snow here in the south i get very excited. i intend to take plenty of dorky pictures for you so stay tuned over the weekend..

i saw this very cool kitchen over on elements of style and was pretty impressed by the thought that went into every detail of her house in general...go check it out. here and here.

what are you and your best love going to do for valentines this weekend? me and supermike are going to dinner at rathbun's (cockpussyballsit'sgood). where i will wear this anthropolgie garnet bead necklace:

with these soft, creamy, red suede shoes from 9west:
with jeans and a jcrew sweatshirt. cazsh..with a side of glitz and glamuh. and YES i buy all my shit at the mall.

after dinner we are going to see this...

i am very excited!!!
what are your plans my little cupids?

Is that from last night's office? No one can compete with her. She gets all of her clothes from the mall.

In case you care, I'll be letting everything hang out in the Castro tonight........Although I'd rather spend my weekend dry-humping you, MFAMB.

Making a V-day cake from scratch (quadruple bonus points for me) with my 3-year-old.

Also buying a new sofa for the living room - a Valentine's gift better than any roses or jewelry IMO.

Sounds like a wonderful evening with SuperMike. Love the mall outfit you have planned to wear too- the necklace rocks.

The BF and I have no real plans. I'm hoping since its V-day I can make him take me to the fabric store, Homegoods, and all that crap that he would rather die than have to do. I think that's a great present- but I think he disagrees, he would rather throw down cash for jewels than have to go. So we shall see...wish me luck that I get what I want just like a spoiled two year old :)

Thanks for the shout out, lady.
I'm throwing a small "old married folks" v-day dinner party. Who are we kidding, we've all be married long enough to not get too into the whole holiday- so instead we are going to hang with each other, drink a lot and eat beef stew! :)

I was supposed to be on vaca with the hubby but we had to CANCEL because of the goddamn fakeout snow storm. In manhattan it looks like it never snowed.

Anyhoo, instead I will be doing the usual bullshit that doesnt include anything for V day.

Also, that house at Elements of Style was GORGEOUS. Proof: Regular people can decorate too!!

SNOW! What up with the 1-3 inches...that's like a blizzard around these parts! I won't believe it till I see it. And I grew up here, so that's huge!

As for V-Day, we are still hammering out plans, but yours sound great. Rathbuns is big time. Enjoy!

Oh sounds like you have a great night planned!

Love the anthro necklace and 9west shoes! I'm certain you are going to rock the look!

Our Valentine's plans are quickly changing... Dallas got almost a foot of snow in the last 24 hours - totally unheard of for this region. So, instead of trying to find a restaurant with power and braving the trees down in the streets - I think we'll stay home, make chocolate cake and watch "Splendor in the Grass" or "Shakespeare in Love" or "Once Around" with Richard Dryfus and Holly Hunter.

No cupids, no plans, if I'm lucky I'll get a hamburger. So Mike is really 'super'. You are going to look fab. Have great fun (snow & all) & I'm jealous you are seeing Benicio all furry and raw.

Love the necklace. THe mister and I will eat heart shaped pizzas from Papa Murphy's with the kids and when they go to bed? The soft core movie recommended by Petunia Face.

I've proposed a couple of ideas to the hubster that were shot down, so I said fuck it and went shopping with my sister tonight - had a coupon for New York & Co. (on top of their buy one pair of pants, get one free sale!) and had my way with the 70% off shoe racks at Dillards. Six pair later, I need a cigarette.

Have a great weekend!
