obsessed fo sho

i love chesterfield sofas. they are stately and regal in a grand home, or like a big middle finger in an otherwise modern home. and that is to say they are a perfect foil for all those cool, industrial fixtures and lines. a look i love. i have yet to find a chesterfield under 2,000 dollars so these are about as obtainable to me as autocunnilingus...darn you spine...always in the way!!!

not ok...

images via ebay, ebay UK, la dolce vita blog, country living, living etc, apartment therapy and we heart it.

I love a great tufted sofa, and headboard, it cuts down on the brusies on my forehead.

But what is up with that donut looking thing, that has to be from the UK.

Love your blog!

I've been obsessed with Chesterfields for years so I can't believe I still don't have one. The distressed leather one is my favorite.

Einey Meeney Miney Moe... Oh, heck, I'll take them all!! :-)

I just did a post on tufted headboards so if you love tufting, you'll have to check it out.

You've assembled quite a collection of photos - so many great ones here. I dig Chesterfield sofas too.

If I had a million dollars I would buy you a chesterfield or an ottoman, but not a real fur coat that's cruel.

I am not even going to say what that last image reminds me of...but I think you might know...
LOVE a chesterfield though, I have not given up in my search for tufted loveliness!

Okay, the donut version is just wrong. Loving the high backed version to use in a dining room/library. Just know I don't have one & would love one.

Yeah, what is up with that last picture???

I love the old ones with the worn and scratched up leather - those look awesome. Chesterfields always look better in leather!
The high-backed one is cool too.

And thanks for ppsssh-ing on my birthday (still 33 til next week though!). I know you mean it out of love! ;-)

Gah, the green one with the bolsters...yummy. I too have a chesterfield fixation. I actually have one similar to the gray velvet one you pictured, the one with the assorted green pillows. Mine is a green cotton velvet with a swoopy back. I love it, but for me a chesterfield must be leather. Loved.This.Post.

There was a 1930s orange one with matching club chair on ebay yesterday for $500 in South Carolina.

For any of you in the seattle area, we have an amazing vintage chesterfield in a worn kindof dark seafoam leather at my store, Scavenger Home. Check it out at scavengerhome.com. Honestly, I would have kept it for myself except for fear my cats would destroy

Bought one at the flea for $100.00. 99 inches long. Amazing. recovering as we speak. But not in leather. While I love it, felt it would be nice in a platinum velvet for a twist.

Love 'em. We have a furniture store in Oz called Domayne - they have a stunning WHITE one. TDF.
