Anyone over 19 should not be wearing a jean skirt. End of discussion. That goes for you, Brit Brit!

Ask me how I feel about tube tops...just ask me.

Tights, heels, jacket are cool. Hair is fug, and if she was dying to wear a denim skirt it should have been black denim with no visible pockets.

oh, I thought she was a guy.

I love her smile, her look; rock your individual style. But I just can't approve of the pockets hanging out. It may be a reflection of my southern upbringing, but it's just too trailer trash - cut off jeans with your ass hanging out the back and the pockets hanging out the front. All she needs is an 18 month old in a dirty diaper, a cheap cigarette and a PBR. As my grandmother would say - bless her heart, it's tacky.

With Lindsay Lohan's stint at Escada and legging collection, Pamela Anderson walking the runway for Vivienne Westwood, and Jessica Simpson designing a line of footwear, I think it's safe to say that White Trash Chic is now an established classic fashion look.

hmmmm. bangs look cheesey and i don't have words for the pockets sticking out of the skirt. i agree with others though- killer legs.

no, though she has a lovely smile.

She has killer legs, which is lucky since her face and hair are killer in another sort of way. That skirt is nasty. I'm thinking the jacket could be cute, but everything else is distracting me from knowing for sure. The tights and shoes are fine.

I basically just repeated everyone else, but it's true.

What's there to discuss...With legs like that she can do exactly what she likes! xv

I would not approve of my son wearing that skirt.

I think it's all been pretty well said above. I'll have to second the "bless her heart."

This is his new muse. I like her look a lot, but I don't like that skirt. (I'm guessing you've seen her on the Sartorialist before, right? SUPER fab menswear styles to which she adds big gold jewelry to fem up her boyish look.)

Androgyny IS her look. It's important to have personal style and I think she has it.

love the comments here. and i also love how by not adding my 2 cents in the post that everyone was really honest. i know how some people just don't want to ruffle feathers and remain silent bc of it. with fashion i think it's easier to be open and honest than it is with decor. i guess b/c decor is more personal? maybe? your home is your sanctuary and to have people rip it apart can hurt. where as fashion is a place to put it out there and be risky. bc at the end of the day you can take it off.

for the record i think she is head to toe fabulous. weird pocket things and all.

MFAMB - I think with decor the sticker shock makes people hesitant. If you take a risk and it doesn't work out, its not so easy/cheap to change. At least for those that aren't creative/crafty/handy (and let's face it, we're all not, me included). With clothing, it is so much easier and cheaper to experiment, to change your entire look from one day to the next.

On the other hand, I think it takes more courage to walk out your door and show your real self to the world than it is to the limited number of people that actually make it across your threshold.

if you're in europe and have those legs and actually own some rocking shoes like that, put whatever clothes on you want. style it up!

Can't criticize since I don't look any better and only wish I did. Hey, she's smiling, I like that & besides, she has legs to die for.

Since she was determined to go here she should have just done shorts (without those damn pockets showing) 'cause she's got the legs for it - that's for shore!

Lolo said...

All joking aside, I just enjoy when people make the effort. What's the point of people watching if they all look like they got highjacked by Stacy and Clinton?

Anonymous said...

she appears to be a bit uncomfortable/self conscious and looks like she cannot wait to change into the spare pair of pants she's holding in her arms. too attention getting if you ask me, and i live in europe!

I love it...on her. The perfect balance of daring and sweetness.

Those legs don't hurt the cause either.

AC/DC. I don't think she's decided. Top half bloke, bottom half girl. Lose the pockets love.

I'm imagining the pain those shoes would cause my feet. And wondering just how long it would take me to break my neck in them.

To make this look work, all she needed was a flirty little girly skirt instead of the crotch skimming jeansy thingy. Good thing she's wearing tights. - - Holly

The shoes are fabulous! And will not cause any pain, they're platform! :D

Am really passionately hating the visible pockets though.
