did you see this?

i'll tell you what- that desire to inspire blog really has my number...they find the best shit for my eyes. can we just talk about the painted ceiling and gold trim? forget the fact that it looks like a thrift store (it might be for all i know) or an antique store. just look at the pretty. that red trim is stupendous as well. would you paint your trim gold? or red?

what about your doors? i am not crazy about the gray walls, and i love gray walls...but here they look kind of flat and muddy. but i DO love the painted doors. the painting of doors seems a little more doable to me.

and these darker green doors to match that heavenly green leather chesterfield. come to momma!

DTI has pulled my card too. Especially in the last 4 or 5 months. I was pretty much going to make a post on that exactly but you totally got there first! :P

ADORE, the painted doors. I have a serious urge to paint every door in my house red. or turquoise. Or green.... Right now they are all white and BORING!! Seriously though, I might paint the inside of my front door a color, maybe black though!

I also want to paint the outside of my front door, its like this drab olive color, and its all scratched from jamming my stroller against it. blah! Dont think the building will let....

Great contrast. I think the gold against that sea-foam-robin'-egg-blue is nothing short of brilliant!
And honey, I've never, ever met a chesterfield that I didn't like!

Those last two images looked so familiar to me...I think it's this house I posted back in March. What do you think, same digs???

Oh I haven't gone to DTI in awhile. You are making me rethink that! I need to go and see all the amazing eye candy!

Love, love, loving those french doors in that amazing green shade.

I think I could do gold trim in the right space, maybe when feeling a bit adventurous! Gorgeous images and colors.

I looooooooove that last picture! Especially since I've been thinking of painting our back french doors AND I have a green leather recliner that's the same color as that sofa!! I was thinking of a charcoal gray... but green?? Hmmm... looks great here!

And I love that gold trim and painted ceiling - but unfortunately I don't think it would have the same effect in our '70's ranch.

I've been on a kick to paint our doors - at least the entry and back french doors... but then I keep thinking about "resale value" - such a downer. What's your take on that?
