when i do these color combos they often start out with a vision of 2 colors in my head looking good together, probably like me and robert pattinson would do. yellow and green are not a combo that particularly appeal to me. but i say if it works in nature it can work in your hizzy.
still, while not a huge fan..below are some yellow and green winners. i'd be interested to know which ones are yummy to you and which ones make your face throw up...i myself am kind of drawn to the minty and lemony versions.

I prefer the brighter combos like the kitchen with the oars hanging in it.
lemon 'n lime, I can handle in small doses. Larger amounts of the mint and lemonade, but the moss 'n mustard combo = gag reflex triggered.
None of these make me wanna vom, I think BRIGHT green and BRIGHT yellow can work together in a space but it has to be super preppster and maybe embrace the Lilly Pulitzer thing, which often makes me yak.
I prefer the spaces where either the yellsy or the green takes the backseat.
Those are so pretty!! I've seen the yellow and grey wedding bouquets on OnceWed and they are gorgeous. All those pics you showed are great though.
The kitchen with the toile wallpaper...and the bedroom with the canopy....BARF 'O' RAMA. Seriously...wretch! I do like the office with just a few accents of that citrus green. If I had to...I could work with this palette...lil' bright...slightly fugly...but do-able.

i think if you don't go overboard with colors that normally don't look good together (just little accents here and there), you can make any color combo work. even purple and green. except neon green. i don't know anyone who can pull of neon green. that's a highlighter for torturous exam prep, not a decor element. just saying.
This was fun. Although i love colour and it really matters to me, when I first look at a room I see the architecture, built -ins and furniture composition first. This is good if I am house hunting. So here are my first impression.
The room with the cow skin rug, the kitchen with toile and the bedroom with the stripes all = barf
I love the gold and moss coloured hair thingy! The room with the half white and half algae covered wall I actually kinda like. I liked three of the kitchens-the one with the paddles appealed to me although if I bought the house I would probably repaint. I like the one with the black cabinetry even though I don't like black and white marble, the vintage kitchen appeals but I bet I couldn't live with the colour. I also like the fancy bedroom although it isn't my style and I hate those valences. The clothes are colours I could never wear.
Lots of great images! I didn't know I'd like so many. I think my fave though is the 17th from the bottom, the bedroom with the different shades of green. It seems like they'd clash, but somehow I kind of love it.
I'm a green and yellow freak! Actually, i'm just a freak in general...anyways, i was watching "Million dollar rooms" on HGTV last night and some fucker had a GARAGE worth 2.5 million dollars. That shit is just wrong, all wrong. Go check it out. I'm sure it's on the site somewhere...
i love pops of yellow. specifically deep muted yellow, like a mustard. it looks so sharp w/ gray blue and white. sigh. but, lemon and lime together don't really do it for me... someone should tell crate and barrel this. it's all borderline vomity bright at the moment. i needed new throw pillows and i got a massive headache staring at all the near fluorescent colors this weekend. ick.
only in nature, please.
i like pollen-y yellow with sage green (more grey than a green.) or olive oil yellow in an aqua glass bottle. if i were to focus on a brighter grass green, i would have to pair it with a paler, golden tan. somethings gotta be the neutral.
I really enjoy these colors together, especially backed with fresh whites and greys...some great inspiration here! I think my favorite image of all is the 2nd one, with the bold strips and modern shapes -- very cheerful and inviting :)
refreshing...
The second photo with the striped bedroom is gorgeous. Fun and inviting without being cartoonish. And you know I love the shot with the yellow chair. Lots of other goodies to mention, but one of my faves is the exuberant, feel-good green kitchen with the chinoiserie toile papered walls. Now that room has some balls.
I was into pretty much all of them, but the first. For some reason, the first one made me want to scratch out my eyeballs.
Yeah, these colors aren't really working for me. I'm with you - the more muted tones fare far better than the kelly greens and lemon yellows. I love the stripe settee. Very elegant, with surprising color and texture. I also like the muted sunny yellow dresser. I think you'd also have to live in the right place to go with these colors. KWIM? So overall, no barfing - just "eh."
I just did my office in yellow and green and I love it!

yes, i'm so happy this feature is back! you are the best at finding color combos. the only ones i'd let inspire my own home are the yellow chair/green frame home office, the yellow flower/mint curtain living room, and the sagey green bedroom with yellow bolsters.
I was totally skeptical when you said "yellow and green," but then I loved most of the images you chose. Maybe I need a little more yellow and green in my life.
i spied imperial trellis in two of the photos. i thought you were going to vomit at the sight of one more room with that pattern...
like these colors alot, but maybe not together. I take that back, I'm really liking the green dress and yellow jacket look
i'm really digging the green and yellow combo right now! these are fabulous...i really like that kitchen with the green cabinets.
All we need now is the vodka and ice a touch of mint..and we have ourselves a Caprioska...chin chin darling !!
