it's dark under there, i know...what can i do?
are you crying tears of joy or tears of sadness?

also had to take a pic of the morning light in this room, it was so pretty.

I LOVE IT! It looks great and you did a great job. But hey, can you go back and take a quick pic (even with bad light of the whole thing with the pic above it?) thanks.
It's awesome. Well done. :)
c dan...i did just for you!!!!
crying tears of joy. beautiful stuff, classy lady! am in envy of the whole thing, especially the incredible hardware and the color of your walls. care to share? hitting the paint store tomorrow to say bye, bye country yellow living room. love it!
Def tears of joy. Looks awesome. The print is great, too.
Awesome! Great job and the styling's not bad either!
Love it. But rreeaallyy love photo #6 of N BB in the background lounging and looking at you with...that look they give. I also have a N BB named Choo Choo. She frightens children and old people.
tears of joy, fo sho!!
Gorgeous! I absolutely love the hardware!
Beautiful! I love all of it. Now when can I come over for a drink? :)
I have no words, I am in love- I want to sneak into your house and take this ninja style for my own house :)
I am going to search every thrift store in a 50 mile radius to get my own.
totally rad. good job!! That hardware is hotness. hey- what color is that wall behind it?
looks great. hardware rocks. the blue/green pottery collection s'good there. I was just looking at an organic wooden tray/piece like you have there; love those. and could that be a GRAY wall there?
wall color = ralph lauren "forde abbey"
Love it, love the 5 minute styling too, actually. Really really really love the room with the pretty morning light. Nice. Marija
so cute! you did a beautiful job. I especially love the bowl of lemons and the Bombay Sapphire underneath. Yes, Bombay Sapphire, don't think I didn't spy your naughty self under there. And now I will be drinking you at 5:30 with some tonic and a wedge of lime.
GORGEOUS!!! Good job! The hardware is perfect.
i have to admit i wasn't crazy about the hardware at first but it looks great on the cart, job well done.
if there is a little recess or indentation below the top, some shallow battery operated puck lights can maybe light the bottom shelf.
love, love, love it - the hardware really makes it into something totally new!
and you could try draging a lamp in there from another room just to get more light when you take pics
I'm in the middle of posting photos of my kitchen makeover and will have the final reveal up tomorrow ...
me likey!
yes, yes, yes!
LOVE!
Tears of bitter envy. My local craigslist only has amish and shitastic colonial knockoffs.
I think you should plant one of these in your garden since for some reason, I thought of you when I saw them.

Gorgeous!
How about puck lights? you could easily hide them and NO cords!
Oh, I wish you could come play at my house. It could use your touch.
It's gorgeous! ( and so is the rest of your place ).
tis gorgeous! I like that entry 1,000 times more than before! care for a drink? don't mind if I do!
It looks great! I'd put the drinkies on top though- easier access, plus the height of some bottles would help to connect the print above to the bar. you need an orchid or some paperwhites (they smell bad, though). I'll go get you one. Impressive!
little shop- i am not a fan of just one orchid on a surface...i think it looks too designer-y staged. and when i have a party i will move the drinks up top. i don't need little hands tipping over bottles. thanks though.
It looks beautiful. What a find.
Looks great...nice job...since you have the outlet under there you could discreetly hide a rope light underneath and hide the cord with a tall bottle...but it's great as is.
It looks awesome, well done!!
searingly, raging jealous over here
Lookin fly!
I love your bar cart. I love your blog. It's so funny and lots of great ideas!
Long-time reader. First-time commenter. Love the cart and your blog. I have a similar tray, some lemons and bottle of Sapphire gin but sadly lack everything else. I covet the drawer pulls!
Good gawd - it's even better than I imagined it would be (not that I doubted anything) that hardware...SMOKES.
Love it. Those rad pulls totally make it...I would totally come drink with you. How good do you feel that you saved that sad little piece of forgotten furniture and made it sparkle? It says Thank You, I can tell.
LOVE IT!!! YOU HAVE MAD SKILLS!
XOXO

DELICIOUS!
And you know that's high praise from me.
Ok, let me begin by saying that I am a guy (husband of My Interior Life) and have been reading and enjoying your blog. It's funny. I actually can appreciate interior design, and enjoy your writing (in particular your choice use use of words like fuckin', balls, and vagina). Pour yourself a drink to celebrate your awesomeness. It's fab-ULOUS...
P.S. where's the vagina dish?
I love it! I wouldn't have thought of the dark top with the white, but it looks terrific and the drawer pulls are drool-able!
heart it. great job.
I love it!! seriously awesome job.
simply beautiful as is the owner. xo
kathi
Holy shitsacks, sista friend... are you the shiznit or what?! Me LOVES. Drinks must happen immediately. Beautiful work; the staging is great--and the morning light makes me so green w envy; my morning light makes me want to kill people. Must remedy that.... XOXO
In your honor, girlfriend, I will say it is fucking awesome, not just any old plain awesome, nope. FUCKING awesome! That hardware is like a Harry Winston diamond. Beeeeutiful!
I just got that renovating book for my b-day. Can't wait to devour it. And I luves your poster. It works beautifully with the vignette!
fab-U-lous darling!! the hardware seals the deal:)
I'd say you rocked it. I love how you did the top. Pretty nice styling too.
Party time!!!!!!!!
matt- i soo heart you. the vagina dish did not make this cut...but it might when i feel the need to re-style. which, if you are married to and interior designer-freak then i am sure you are no stranger to crazy whims and changes.
Great job ...xv
It looks SO AWESOME!!!!
Great job!!! Have you considered adding a small lamp on top - you know, for more light in the cave?
And I love the morning sunlight picture, it's beautiful. Makes me want to curl up in that sunshine!
Have a great weekend girlie. :-)
OH JENNY...OH JENNY...words...words..escape me...there are no words..I can try..Fantastic, Marvelous, Brilliant, Unbelievable..but they just dont seem to do it justice.
Im so very very proud of you..I think its your best DIY project EVER ..so far :) x
That looks so great! Did you use a roller (it looks so schmooooth).
Also, is it wrong that I want closeup of the liquor?
Awesome job. Night and day to how you first got it. For underneath, how about one of those tap lights. Will it show?
What paint color is in this room? LOVE IT.
Beyond awesome. And I love your (McCoy?) vase in turquoise.
AH! You're hilarious and talented. But, just a thought, what about booze on top? (don't hurt me...)
love it! the sunlight in that room makes me want to move in!
Tears of joy...and jealousy! The hardware makes it!!!

Hey MFAMB!
This is totally off topic, but thought you might want to know-- DSW at Atlantic Station has some black boots on clearance that are a lot like the ones you blogged about awhile back, but a lot cheaper.
Might be worth checking it out--

Ok, so normally folks who can't do shit, just talk about shit, and post pictures of shit...
