We planted two bushes in our backyard a few years ago and they have yet to bloom. I'm hoping this is the year. If it is, come by and I'll share the bounty.

Praying for "soon." Starting to lose it with all the rain. I am starting to chant under my breath while at my desk at work..."spring, spring, spring, spring..."

Once I moved from California, February became the longest month of the year.
Lilacs, early viburnum, magnolias, roses, peonies, wisteria, gardenias, lavendar. That's what in my garden waiting for "soon" to arrive.

Speaking of "soon," when is your John Gidding blog coming out? His series has started, I've noticed.

Raining in Dallas too. Spring really is just around the corner for us. My daffodils tips are emerging from the soil as we speak. Hurry. Hurry.

Mmmmmm, lilacs. They remind me of walking to elementary school and of the ghost who would appear right after you smelled lilacs on Dark Shadows when I was a kid! Nightmares!

Seriously, this has been a brutal winter. I have not seen the sun for 3 weeks. I live in texas damnit! It's supposed to be WARM. I just checked the forecast for next week and there's snow and sleet again. Mother nature, if you're not going to make the weather bad enough for me to miss work then get over yourself!
